About artist
Tang Mingwei is an independent artist known for his conceptual approach to geometric abstraction. A graduate of the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, he combines mathematical precision with artistic expression to explore the connections between logic, structure, and emotion. Since 2005, his work has evolved from precise, ruler-driven forms to include color and spatial grids, influenced by Western geometric abstraction and China’s New Scale movement.
